Climbing Higher Together: Elite Joins Multiplex for the 24 Peaks Challenge
This month, members of the Elite Landscapes team proudly took part in one of the UK’s most difficult endurance events, the 24 Peaks Challenge alongside our client Multiplex, raising vital funds for Building Heroes, a charity supporting military veterans into careers in construction.
The challenge saw participants hike 24 peaks in just 24 hours, covering over 31 miles and a staggering 13,000 feet of ascent across the Lake District. It demanded exceptional fitness, grit, and team spirit, all of which were shown in abundance by everyone involved.
This expedition was organised by Multiplex in partnership with Breaking Strain Events and brought together over 50 individuals across the supply chain, all united by a shared goal: to push themselves to the limit while supporting veterans through education, skills training, and career pathways in our industry.
Representing Elite, Pat Murphy and Scott Hawkes led the charge, not only completing the challenge but also spearheading our fundraising efforts. Elite also made a company donation to support the wider campaign.
The 24 Peaks event was a powerful reminder of what can be achieved when the industry comes together — not just to build places, but to build lives. All funds raised go to Building Heroes, who provide fully funded construction training and employment support to veterans and service leavers across the UK.
