Manager of the Month - July 2021

We are pleased to announce that Ginuta Irimia has been awarded Manager of the Month for July! Many managers stood out for their amazing work, but Ginuta was referenced several times by various senior project managers who were extremely impressed with the recent handover of London Dock Phase 1. Our client, St George, has additionally given great reviews of Ginuta, and while the site was challenging it looks fantastic! Take a look at the photo below to see part of the work done at London Dock, along with our Senior PM, Paul Amerlynck, awarding Ginuta…

Please tell us a bit about the work at London Dock…

London Dock C1C2C3 is a £3.3 million job that will allow you to go through all the phases of Landscaping. The job is a combination of Soft and Hard landscaping with a water feature surrounding more than half of the landscaping. We are building Market Gardens, Promenade, Water Feature, Promenade play area, Residential zones with a variety of paving pallets, pedestrian bridge above feature, play equipment, curved upstand with granite coping/cladding, curved fencing and much more.

What is your role?

I am Project Manager.

Did you encounter any problems within the project and how did you combat them?

Due to the different sections that we have and each section that is headed over is different in its own way, the job does keep me on my toes and engaged. One of the biggest problem that we had was the impact that Brexit/Covid had on the delivery companies and the granite transport from across the border. It was really a challenge as we have had to reorganize our staging project around the granite deliveries.

What have you achieved so far?

Due to the size of the site and having around 22 contractors working with exclusion zone in all the areas, we have managed to deliver the First 4 sections of the job and 2 extra sections that were not planned in the timeline that was agreed initially. St. George has seen and appreciated all the hard work and quality that Elite Landscapes can do.

As always thank you to all our managers and team at Elite!
