Elite Landscapes Trials ZERO Emission Tower Lights to Cut Carbon on Site

Elite Landscapes has taken another major step toward reducing its carbon footprint by trialling zero-emission tower lights across several live projects.

The initiative forms part of Elite’s ongoing commitment to sustainability and innovation in landscape construction. The new lighting units, provided in collaboration with Bovis, are powered by cutting-edge battery technology designed to deliver bright, reliable illumination throughout the night without producing any emissions.

Chris Thomas, Senior Contracts Manager at Elite, said:

“This is a fantastic initiative that aligns perfectly with our wider sustainability goals. We’re constantly looking for practical ways to make our sites cleaner and more efficient without compromising on safety or performance.”

The trial follows a series of carbon-saving measures Elite has implemented over the past year, including hybrid vehicles for site teams, solar-powered welfare cabins, and an expanded recycling programme. The company is also working closely with partners such as Waterwise on irrigation efficiency and other specialist sustainable solutions.

“Elite has always led from the front when it comes to responsible delivery,” added Thomas. “Adopting zero-emission technology like this is an important part of how we continue to raise the bar in sustainable landscape construction.”

The new lighting systems will be monitored and evaluated over the coming months, with findings shared internally and with industry partners to support wider adoption of low-carbon site practices.
